Asset tags and warranty
New tags are the company prefix, the category’s prefix, then the next number, for example AST-LT-0001. Numbers already used are skipped, and you can always type a tag yourself.
Assignment forms
These terms are printed on every check-out and return form. Leave them empty to use the standard wording. Forms already issued keep the terms they were issued with.
About 1,200 characters fit on one form; longer terms are cut off with “…”.
Categories
Group assets (laptops, phones, docks) and give each group its own tag prefix. A category in use can be archived, not deleted.
| Name | Tag prefix | Depreciation (months) | Assets |
|---|
Locations
Where assets live when nobody holds them: offices, rooms, storage. A location in use can be archived, not deleted.
| Name | Site | Floor | Room | Assets |
|---|
Label templates
Labels are print-ready files: a PDF at the exact DYMO size, an Avery-style sheet, or a print view. Use up to 4 lines with {tag} {name} {serial} {model} {company} {location} {holder}. A QR code opens the asset in Senots; Code128 holds the tag.
